This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop and apply your knowledge of industry-standard frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK. You will gain exposure to a variety of IT security tools and solutions, working along our team to: to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and eager to contribute to a dynamic security environment.
- Analyze IT security logs, network traffic, and endpoint data to detect and investigate suspicious activity.
- Monitor security alerts and take appropriate action on malicious activities.
- Investigate root causes of security breaches and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
- Utilize MITRE ATT&CK framework to understand and categorize threat behaviors.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest information technology trends and security news.
- Educate employees on security awareness and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT security engineers and other IT teams to improve overall security posture and implement defensive measures.
Education Requirements:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field degree program at a recognized University or College.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of IT and cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Ability to analyze and interpret security data and reports.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity are a plus.
- Be able to communicate effectively with resources at all levels of the Modine organization
- Be able to work independently, meet deadlines, and drive for results
- Be able to think logically and independently and solve complex problems in their assigned area of responsibility
- Be able to apply the Modine Values and support the 80/20 initiatives
