As our Engineering Manager of our CA-based Custom Electric Wire and Cable manufacturing division, your responsibilities will involve supervising project development and implementation, overseeing budgetary matters, and managing the engineering team. Your role will also entail collaborating with fellow management members, giving guidance to engineering team members, and ensuring the timely and budget-compliant completion of projects. Additionally, you will be involved in research and development for novel designs, products, and processes, maintaining technical precision and coordinating efforts with other managers and staff.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering required or the equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Engineering management experience
  • 3+ years of Engineering in a manufacturing environment, bulk cable and/or cable assembly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of bulk cable and cable assembly design, materials, components, processes, and electrical/mechanical testing and regulatory approvals; excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, AutoCAD, Access database navigation, and Internet; excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Internal - Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Sales are all customers of the department
  • External - Outside sales teams and customers to provide the best customer experience
  • Across the rest of the Winchester organization as appropriate to identify best practices
  • Take initiative to create a regular cadence with team members to support them and drive results
  • Utilize hangouts, face to face, email, and other communications to at a regular cadence
  • Lead by example, trust in your teammates, and use data-driven decision-making
  • Always seek and align using one source for data
    • Eliminate and minimize multiple tracking systems to align and drive results so that everyone makes decisions from the same data
  • Share team achievement/success stories on Awardco and chatter
