Job Description

SUMMARY

The Manager, QHSE & Audit Services supports regional Avetta clients and contractor/supplier members throughout the pre-qualification and audit process through review, verification, and coaching of HSE Programs, Procedures, and Requirements.

The Manager, QHSE & Audit Services works under the supervision of the Director, QHSE & Audit Services and is assigned as a dedicated QHSE Services resource for client and contractor/supplier members of Avetta.

If residing within commutable distance to our office in Lehi, Dallas, Houston, Irvine, or Calgary a hybrid schedule would be offered (3 days in office, 2 days work from home). Candidates within commutable distance are preferred, but those outside of an office area may be considered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Manager, QHSE & Audit Services has supervisory responsibilities and will be expected to supervise designated Leads and assigned QHSE Leads, Professionals and Associates
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Assigned QHSE Leads, Professionals and Associates
  • Conduct Training and Corrective Action for Assigned QHSE Leads, Professionals and Associates
  • Monitor the quality and performance of Assigned QHSE Leads, Professionals and Associates
  • Handle Client or Supplier Escalations and de-escalate in a timely manner
  • Support and assist in improvements and development of Audit/Assessment products to ensure efficiency, scalability and profitability
  • Manage and conduct based on workflow Manual, Implementation, & Field HSE Audits/Assessments where a review of a company's HSE manual, training documentation, or field execution of protocols are evaluated
  • Gap assess contractor/supplier HSE management systems, programs and protocols based on services provided
  • Apply general risk and hazard assessment methodology across a variety of industries that Avetta will service (e.g., Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, Communications, Facility Management, Construction, Mining, Aviation, Transportation, Marine/Maritime Operations, and Rail)
  • Assist customers with closing gaps or deficiencies identified within the audit
  • Ability to coach contractor/supplier with developing policies/procedures based on regulatory requirements
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and escalations with solutions
  • Handle and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Record details of inquiries, comments, complaints, and actions taken
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and leadership
  • Follow up on customer and internal stakeholder interactions
  • MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
  • Travel (Domestic and International) associated with this position can be expected between 25-30% depending on Client Demand/Departmental needs

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
  2. Required to attend training, meetings, or seminars to support professional development and Avetta interests
  3. Required to travel in the event of implementation and/or field services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Leadership Skills:

  • Provide constructive and motivational feedback to Assigned HSE Professionals
  • Maintain a positive attitude and promote professionalism.
  • Enforce conformance with Avetta Policies and Audit Protocols
  • Establish Weekly Team meetings to ensure achievement of Monthly Production and Quality Goals
  • Prepare reports/dashboards using SalesForce to identify Production and Efficiency
  • Submit Weekly Updates for Assigned HSE Professionals to the Director, QHSE & Audit Services

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is highly preferred
  • Certified Safety Professional or similar professional certification (e.g., CSHM, CIH, CRSP, etc.)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Safety Field or QHSE Auditing Functions
  • Prior experience in an Avetta HSE Professional role is advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Regional OHS Regulations and other Regulatory Agencies (OSHA, OHS, ANSI, ISO, etc.);
  • Industry & Field HSE Experience
  • An affinity for learning online software systems;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Excellent Professional communication skills - both written and oral;
  • Bi-lingual proficiency a plus;
  • Working PC knowledge, windows preferred and related applications;
  • Interpersonal skills;
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving;

  • Knowledge in the area of sales, customer service and business development in order to integrate concepts and theories;

METRICS THAT MATTER:

  • Manager, QHSE & Audit Services will manage individual and team audit performance in a quality manner in accordance with Avetta Protocol - 95% +/qtr
  • Oversee Quality Assurance coaching, training and correction of Data Quality Verification errors - 100%/month
  • Report Audit Satisfaction Survey Results Quarterly to ensure positive Ratings - 8.0 +
  • Ensure SLA achievement for the QHSE & Audit Services Department and any assigned Audits - 95% +/mo
    • Manual Audits - 10 Business Days from Assignment to Queue; Review Open Requirements on Audits within 3 business days
    • Vetify Audits - 2 business days to Submit; 1 business day for Open Requirements
  • Conduct up to 10 Safety Manual Audits per month (Initial review with gaps or to closure) based on designated workload, client demand and region assigned
  • Conduct other Types of Audits (based on designated workload, client demand and region assigned) designated by direct report.
  • 24-hour Response time to Suppliers (email or phone); this Correspondence will be documented in the Case.
