Overview

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Coordinator in the Wheeling, WV (GOIC) office.

Responsibilities
    Process accounts payable transactions including invoice entry (different currencies and payment formats), check entry, and expense transfers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review requests for compliance with guidelines, completeness and accuracy of coding, presence of proper payment authorization signature(s) and appropriate backup. Work with Accounts Payable Manager to resolve issues regarding same.
  • Review and approve T&E reports in Expert Expenses to be in compliance with firm policies prior to remitting payments.
  • Requesting and maintaining W9 & W8 forms for new and existing vendors.
  • Maintaining assigned local checking accounts including processing checks, stop payments, EFTs and replenishing accounts funds.
  • Prepare and process imports and verify accuracy of the data that was imported.
  • Work on various accounting related requests as part of the AP hotline/email which includes researching data, resolving discrepancies, providing backup, preparing excel files based on the firm's established guidelines and workflows.
  • Process expense reclass requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review vendors' monthly statements and ensure all invoices/credits have been received. Contact vendors as appropriate.
  • Maintain Worker's Compensation Certificate of Insurance files and prepare annual report.
  • Work on projects assigned by the AP Manager as needed and other related duties.
Qualifications

  • A.A./A.S. degree or equivalent training / work experience required.
  • Consistent accounts payable knowledge required.
  • Three years of experience in a complex business environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in using computerized accounts payable system (CMS preferred), Microsoft Office Suite applications, and operating in a Windows environment required.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills along with ability to work with many people requesting a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team.
  • Excellent customer service experience required.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $40,000.00 and $51,000.00.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
