Overview

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an eDiscovery Project Attorney with 2 - 6 years of experience to join our Orrick Analytics team. Successful candidates will be established in our Global Operations & Innovation Center (GOIC) in Wheeling, WV and consideration given for 100% remote locations.

Orrick Analytics is a team of lawyers, technologists, statisticians, and other professionals that use state-of-the-art technology in data and document-heavy engagements. Orrick Analytics has dozens of Project Attorneys with expertise ranging from eDiscovery document reviews, emerging company work, and large-scale contract reviews and other due diligence.

Our Analytics team operates from our Global Operations & Innovation Center in West Virginia. Unlike Legal Process Outsourcers (LPOs), our in-house team model offers the benefits of full integration with the litigation and transactional lawyers leading the engagement. The Analytics team's mission is straightforward: enhance speed and accuracy while generating insights specific to the engagement and reducing our client cost.

Responsibilities
    Project Attorneys have the opportunity to handle project intake, staffing, planning, technology selection, budgeting, execution, documentation, and communication with firm Partners, clients, and vendors.
  • You will have the opportunity to use machine learning, generative AI and other leading technologies.
  • You will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas to our service delivery model as we focus on of continuous improvement of the processes and methodologies.
Qualifications

*A Juris Doctor and successful bar passage and admission to practice in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction is required.

*Some practice experience preferred.

*Significant eDiscovery experience, preferably including using tech tools, e.g. TAR.

*A successful Project Attorney will possess strong supervisory and team-building skills.

*Two to six years of experience in project lead or supervisory roles, preferably of both small and large teams.

*Excellent communication and interactive skills at all levels and a shown ability to work with a wide variety of personality types.

*Planning and organization skills are important in this role, including the ability to meet deadlines and to lead multiple projects concurrently.
*Do you have the ability to problem solve and make decisions? A can-do approach in these areas is crucial.
*Proficiency in spreadsheet and other office software, as well as litigation support and document review software.
*Good writing skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000.00 and $135,000.00.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
