Position Summary

The Divisional Service Center Manager provides leadership and supervision for the Service Centers in Southern California Division. The Divisional Service Center Manager will oversee operation of services, training of staff, and supervision of case management for Pathway of Hope initiative.

Pay Range

$64,480/yr. - $85,000/yr.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee direct operations of multiple Service Extension sites.
  • Oversee services and programs performed by all Service Center Offices to all Service Center Offices.
  • Assess and expand to add new service centers to other areas of the division.
  • Monitor and maintain database records in keeping with Salvation Army and HIPPA standards, including computer and written files.
  • Attend Salvation Army meetings/trainings/conferences and participate in inter-agency and community provider meetings as directed or appointed by supervisor.
  • Represent the Salvation Army in community meetings and events. Build partnerships, collaborations and networks with other local agency providers to enhance services.
  • Manage government sponsored social services programs and grants (i.e., USDA, FEMA)
  • Ensure timely statistical reports and maintain accurate documentation/data records for The Salvation Army and cooperative agencies, in keeping with any agreements made. Examples: Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), Food Bank
  • Assist with recruiting volunteers, adhering to TSA's volunteer policies and procedures guideline.
  • Cooperate with other Salvation Army employees and Advisory Board/Council committees in formulating plans for future services needed in this area.
  • Assist with the preparation of and assume responsibility for implementation and control of the budget.
  • Plan and execute fundraising opportunities and maintain necessary documents and files pertaining to grants, donations and GIK contributions. (i.e., Red Kettle Campaign)
  • Follow mandated reporting procedures, as required by local law enforcement and/or protective agencies as well as the Salvation Army's internal reporting processes and adhere to The Salvation Army's National Social Services Standards
  • Assist centers with networking, planning and preparations for seasonal assistance such as Back-to-School, Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance.
  • Perform other assignments/duties as directed.

Working Conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.A. in Social Work or Sociology preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of management experience in a related field.
  • Valid CA license, able to pass MVR report and safety classes.
  • Meet all health and safety regulations as defined by the Health Department as well as The Salvation Army.
  • Must be in good physical health and mental health, capable of meeting the demand of the position.
  • Willingness to submit to ABSO (criminal background check), child safety and Protect the Mission guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Qualifications

Education
Bachelors of Social Work (preferred)

Experience
2 - 3 years: Minimum Management Experience. (required)

Licenses & Certifications
Motor Vehicle Check (required)
Driver's License (required)
