This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at supporting the physical and emotional well-being of residents. Key duties include ensuring proper body alignment and positioning, monitoring vital signs, providing assistance with bowel and bladder training, aiding in ambulation and gait training, conducting range-of-motion exercises, implementing interventions for emotional and behavioral issues, supporting residents and families in adapting to disabilities, assisting with restorative activities, assembling and disassembling equipment, observing and reporting residents' conditions, applying medical devices, calculating fluid intake and output, assisting with tube feedings and incentive spirometry, and supporting orthopedic equipment as directed. It is a multifaceted position that requires compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those under care.

The Certified Nursing Assistant II role is a health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Sufficient for Certification.
  • California Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 6 months - Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or post acute environment.
