The successful candidate will develop new electronic hardware and microcontroller firmware designs, troubleshoot existing products and resolve customer issues. We are looking for a strong, experienced, and motivated Electronics or Electrical Engineer to contribute at all levels of electronic hardware product development and maintenance.

DUTIES

  • New product design based on high-level requirements, including research and exploration of various technologies
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout design for new products
  • Prototype development, board bring-up, comprehensive testing, and debugging for new products
  • Microcontroller firmware design and development
  • Test equipment/fixture design for Manufacturing
  • Functional verification of electronics products and components
  • Signal characterization
  • Quick ramp-up on current/legacy products and troubleshooting/support of customer issues
  • Product-related documentation including specifications, user manuals, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or similar) with 5-10 years of relevant experience or other equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills and experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and layout
  • Strong skills in soldering, and use of oscilloscopes, meters, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced level software development skills using C, Python, or other programming language
  • Experience using common peripheral protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, etc.
  • Experience in programming ARM-based microcontrollers strongly preferred
  • Experience using PADS and SolidWorks preferred
  • Proficiency with common office/productivity applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and others)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage own tasks and priorities, meet project schedules, and collaborate in a team environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Traffic Engineering principles a huge plus

PRE-EMPLOYMENT

COMPENSATION

The base compensation range for this full-time exempt position is $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year plus benefits. Compensation ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The compensation range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
