Intern, Sustaining Engineering
Overview
The Sustaining Engineering Intern will conduct a comprehensive gap assessment of the manufacturing operations for existing and/or new products (Medical Class III products, active implantable devices) supporting manufacturing builds and creating or updating manufacturing and quality documentation as required (i.e. BOM, assembly procedures, component & product specifications, tooling design packages process flows, travelers, manufacturing / quality work instructions, risk management documentation among others).
This position may also assist in other activities resulting from existing Projects.
This position is intended to undergo on the job training as part of the learning experience associated to the internship program.
What you’ll do:
- Create and update documentation using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Capability to execute engineering test protocols and follow good documentation practices
- ECO submissions to release/modify existing documentation
- Interdepartmental collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and other Functional groups.
- Supporting in the development of tooling packages, specifications and supporting with tooling acceptance activities
- Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the team:
Education
- Should have the equivalent of a high school diploma as a minimum
Nice to Have
- Bachelors in Engineering or as minimum, should have been enrolled in an educational or vocational program related to Engineering or technical field alike (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
Work Experience
Nice to Have
- Over 6 months(preferred)
